A matter of quality

Question:   "I have a product with a broken part. Unfortunately, when I went to the store where I purchased the product they said the manufacturer didn't provide spare parts and that I was better off just buying a new one. It's not an expensive product, but I really hate to chuck it and be forced to buy a new one when all I believe that is wrong with it is a simple part. Any suggestions?"

Advise:  "Sounds like you purchased a discount product from a mass-merchandise store that feels service stops once they have your money.    You do get what you pay for in this world and, although I've stated it before, for the most part, product purchased from discount and mass merchant stores is no where near as good as the product purchased from specialty stores and shops.   

Yes, you may pay a bit more for the superior equipment, but it will last longer and, should anything go wrong, both the manufacturer and retailer will typically go out of their way to be sure you are satisfied. 

Your time is valuable and it is best to use the services of the specialty shop to obtain the best equipment for your needs!  Buy products worth fixing, both in a pinch and in the long run you will be glad you did.
