General Info regarding Reel Mowers Typical cutting widths are 14- to 20-inches with 4-, 5, 7 and up to 10 blade designs.  The number of blades such as 7-blade or higher are typically designed for low-creeping, fine-bladed grasses like Bermuda found in

Disadvantanges of reel mowers are blades when damaged by rocks or other objects can be more serious and costly to fix. A reel mower works on different principles than a rotary mower.
